Waton’s Tin Box meets monthly and includes:

  • A discussion of the selected canon story for the evening: The Man with the Twisted Lip
  • Toasts made to to The Woman, and to a topic related to the selected canon story: Body Counts
  • A quiz on the canon story, including prizes!
  • An evening talk

The evening talk for 9/24 will be given by Jaime Mahoney on the topic of the online Sherlockian community:

It’s Always 1895 (Even on Facebook): Or how to find useful Sherlockian resources in an endless online world.

The internet is constantly offering new opportunities and avenues for Sherlockian research, scholarship, relationships and communities. This presentation provides an overview of the many ongoing Sherlockian discussions and projects that are currently available online, and how to become involved — including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, discussion forums, email listservs, microblogging sites and more. Online avenues are opening up an entire new Sherlockian universe — and it’s ready to explore!

Watson’s Tin Box regulars are always welcoming of newcomers…so let’s represent!
